It’s a set up!
Many years ago when I purchased my first guitar, the salesman at Sam Ash asked me if I would like a set up. I thought to myself, wow, I paid enough for this guitar, and I thought I was already being set up! I indicated to him a stern “no thank you”.
At the time, I didn’t realize how important a good “set up” on any stringed instrument would be. Now I have come to realize if you don’t have your guitar “set up” properly, there 1s a very good chance that you may never enjoy the instrument the way that you think you should.
A good setup on the guitar is possibly one of the most important and first thing that you must do to (a)get the most our of your guitar, or (b) bring an older guitar back to life.
If you presently have a guitar, and it is sitting in your closet or garage collecting dust, don’t fret (no pun intended). Chances are a good “set up” is just what you need to fall in love with your instrument again.
Follow my blogs as I get into what constitutes a great setup and how it can instantly improve your playing and enjoyment.
Until then, I’d be happy to discuss a “great setup” on your guitar. Feel free to contract me at southwestacousticproducts@gmail.com and let,s see what we can do to get you to rekindle the romance!
